In 2022, we executed the exterior and interior design of the South America pavilion at Chorzow Zoo, which was converted from the former giraffe and rhino pavilion. A rainforest zone is presented in the building.
The role of ArtSystemDeco was to provide comprehensive decoration with artificial rock, artificial trees and interior and exterior façade plasterwork using artificial rock and shotcrete technology. The entire development included more than 1,000 m2 of artificial rocks and several artificial concrete trees.
In the outdoor and indoor enclosure for otters, ArtSystemDeco made decorations from artificial rock imitating the natural biotope, enriched with details in the form of artificial trees, artificial trunks, branches, etc. The enclosure was equipped with pools (water spas) formed from artificial rock.
A distinctive feature of the new pavilion is an observation platform from which visitors will be able to admire the exhibition. Placed a few metres above the ground, the path was supported by imitation artificial exotic trees, which blended in perfectly with the rainforest display. A footbridge, placed in the air, runs through the entire building and connects the two viewing terraces around which we made thematic façade arrangements.
In addition, we have made arrangements for a terrarium area to showcase reptiles and amphibians and a water cascade made of artificial rock
