The Orientarium at Lodz Zoo – a pavilion dedicated to the fauna and flora of Southeast Asia – was opened on 29 April 2022.
ArtSystemDeco was responsible for making all the decorations in the building.
Projects we implemented in numbers:
- arrangements of 14 outdoor and indoor enclosures
- artificial rocks with an area exceeding 5000m2
- arrangement of marine and freshwater aquaria – 750m2 of artificial rocks – and an underwater tunnel
- 11 artificial trees – in the enclosures and in the water
- wall arrangements imitating earth with root fragments and imitating masonry – over 6000m2 in total
- we have made more than 8000m2 of stamped decorative floors
In the course of our work, we have prepared enclosure and aquarium arrangements inhabited by 35 terrestrial animal species and 180 fish species, including:
- Indian elephant enclosures
- macaque enclosures
- anoa and babirusa enclosure
- orangutan enclosures
- gibbons and langurs enclosure
- shark pool
- guava enclosure
- mist-tailed panther enclosure
- bear enclosure
- lemur enclosure
- penguin enclosure
The following deserve special attention:
- decoration imitating a fragment of the ruins of the Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia located on the anoa and babirusa enclosure
- underwater tunnel arrangement and aircraft wreck installed in shark pool
- waterfall and artificial underwater tree in gated enclosure
- replica of a Malayan boat in Malayan bear enclosure
- 14 decorative portals
- artificial trees and branches used as feeders
- specially prepared penguin nesting caves
